Parkinson's Disease and Multiple Sclerosis While Alexander Technique will not cure these diseases, it is widely recommended as a way to improve functioning, prolonging the ability to live actively and independently. My father has had Parkinson's Disease for thirty years and benefits from Alexander Technique lessons. I have presented the Alexander Technique to several local support groups and am familiar with the challenges and benefits to this group. Alexander Technique is recommended by the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Fibromyalgia
The sensitivity of those who suffer from Fibromyalgia also makes them sensitive to the subtle indications of improvement, giving them an incentive to make the most of the new information they receive from the Alexander Technique instructor. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Movement reeducation results in economy of energy, increasing vitality, and making one aware of the habits that contribute to fatigue.
